The self-consumer intending to implement the above scheme is required, in addition to the other documents and supporting documentation, to submit to HEDNO a Technical Description demonstrating compliance with the non-export obligation, accompanied by an electrical diagram and the manufacturer’s technical manuals for the generating station and the “directional sensor”.
The Connection Offer and the Connection Agreement include a special clause requiring that no energy be exported to the Grid. In addition, the self-consumer undertakes, by means of a Solemn Declaration of N.1599/86, that the settings of the generating station’s management system will not be modified throughout the installation’s operation.

When the generating station is commissioned, HEDNO may carry out appropriate tests to check compliance with the non-export requirement. During operation, it monitors the supply’s metering data in order to identify any breach of the requirement. If it is found that the above requirement has been breached, HEDNO may disconnect the self-consumer from the Grid.
