Who is responsible
Solar Home Ι.Κ.Ε. is responsible for personal data processed through solar-home.gr and its customer services. Our address is Spefsippou 23, Athens 10675, Greece. You can contact us at info@solar-home.gr or +30 210 576 5888 about this policy or your personal data.
What data we process
When you contact us, request an estimate or arrange a visit, we process the details you provide: name, email, telephone, correspondence, property address and location, building and roof information, electricity consumption and your selected system options. Customer projects may also involve appointment details, documents, offers, contracts and payment records. Website use generates technical data such as IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referral sources and cookie identifiers.
Purposes and legal bases
We use enquiry and property details to answer your request, estimate solar options, prepare offers and arrange visits, taking steps at your request before a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). We process customer records to perform contracts and provide support, and accounting or legally required records to meet legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)). Security, fault diagnosis and the defence of claims serve our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)), balanced against your rights. Where consent is required for optional cookies, advertising or promotional messages, the basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)); you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Required form fields are needed to handle the requested service; without them we may be unable to respond or produce an estimate.
Who receives data
Authorised staff and service providers may access data needed for their tasks, including hosting, storage, email delivery, technical support and website monitoring. Mapping and solar-estimation services, including Google Maps and Google Solar where used, receive location or property information needed for the requested calculation. Relevant project details may be shared with installation partners, professional advisers, network operators or public authorities when needed for your project or required by law. Analytics, advertising and embedded-media providers process technical information as described below.
Cookies, analytics and external content
Cookies support sessions, security and language preferences. The site also integrates CookieYes for cookie preferences and Google Analytics / Google Ads for audience and campaign measurement. You can review optional cookie choices through the cookie banner or its settings control and manage stored cookies in your browser. Blocking necessary cookies may affect some functions. YouTube videos and external services can receive your IP address and device information when their content loads or you follow their links; their own privacy notices also apply. Email interactions may be recorded to help us follow up on customer communications.
Retention and international processing
We retain enquiry information for as long as needed to handle and follow up your request. Customer, contract and accounting records are retained for the project, support, applicable legal obligations and the establishment or defence of claims. Technical records are retained according to their security or measurement purpose. The relevant period depends on the type of record, legal requirements and any ongoing dispute. Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers require an applicable GDPR mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses and any necessary additional safeguards. Contact us for information about the retention or transfer safeguards applicable to your data.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing and portability of your data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, and object at any time to direct marketing. You may withdraw consent whenever processing relies on it. Send your request to info@solar-home.gr; we may ask for information needed to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month; where a lawful extension is necessary, we will explain it within that month. You may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority or the supervisory authority in your country of habitual residence, work or the alleged infringement.
Estimates, security and policy changes
Automated solar calculations provide indicative estimates based on the information supplied and available property data. They do not constitute a final installation decision or binding offer; the proposal can be reviewed with our team. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information and keep private customer links confidential. We update this policy when our services or processing practices change and show the revision date here.
